What is HDFC Bank’s Global Value Program (GVP)?

GVP is an optional program that rewards you for your international transactions. By paying a nominal annual fee, you unlock a range of perks, including bonus reward points, cashback, and milestone vouchers.

Program Fee:

  • Annual/Renewal Fee: Rs. 199/- + GST.
  • Auto-renewal ensures you never miss out on benefits.

GVP Benefits:

  1. Welcome Benefit (First Year Only):
  • Receive 500 Bonus Reward Points on your first international transaction.
  • This is a one-time benefit, regardless of multiple activations on the same card.
  1. Cashback Benefit:
  • Earn 1% Cashback on all international transactions (up to Rs. 1,000/- per statement cycle).
  • This is in addition to your regular credit card rewards.
  1. Milestone Benefit:
  • Get a Rs. 2,000/- MakeMyTrip/ClearTrip/Yatra/EaseMyTrip voucher upon reaching international spends of Rs. 1,50,000/- within a year of GVP activation.
  • This milestone benefit is available every year.

Eligibility:

  • All HDFC Bank credit cardholders (retail and business) are eligible.

Qualifying Transactions:

  • Only non-Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) transactions qualify. This means transactions made in a foreign country and charged in the local currency, not in INR.
  • DCC transactions (where you are charged in INR while being in a foreign country) are excluded.

  • Contact HDFC Bank’s 24x7 customer service.
  • Email customer support.
  • Note: SMS-based enrollment is no longer available.

Important Update: GVP Extended Until 2030!

Despite temporary website changes, HDFC Bank has confirmed that the Global Value Program will continue until 2030. This provides long-term value and peace of mind for cardholders.
